The Kraken earned their second win in four games of the current home stand in impressive fashion. One of the top goaltenders in the league came to town with the New York Rangers along with a team of skilled players who rank top five as a group in shot volume and creating offense from the most dangerous areas of the ice.
In response, the Kraken played a composed game in which they quieted New York from the start and slowly built their own offense without getting frustrated when the chances didn't fall their way. Against the ninth-best power play in the league, Seattle defended two of four power plays, and even with a goal against coming late in regulation, the home team made good on what they had worked on in practice. Two solid days of solidifying 3-on-3 play paid off when Justin Schultz potted the game-winner.
