The number twenty five is significant across the Lightning organization. In addition to celebrating twenty five years as a franchise, the Lightning community is celebrating Dave Andreychuk, who will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this year. Andreychuk wore jersey No. 25 when he led the Lightning to the Stanley Cup Championship as team captain in 2004. Andreychuk will be at the Big Storm Brewing taproom, located at 12707 49th St. N in Clearwater on Friday, September 15 to get a behind the scenes look at the making of The Lightning Twenty Five. Media is encouraged to attend as Joel Moore, Head Brewer of Big Storm Brewing and Andreychuck will both be available for photos and interviews.
The Lightning Twenty Five will be available in the Big Storm Taprooms starting September 15. Big Storm Brewing Co. and the Lightning will celebrate the launch of the beer that night at both the Clearwater and Pasco taprooms. Big Storm will donate a portion of all sales from the night to Hurricane Irma relief efforts. The Lightning, Florida Panthers, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players Association have donated $2.7M to the Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
Lightning Twenty Five will be available at AMALIE Arena for the first preseason game and throughout Tampa Bay on September 19.
As a proud partner of the Lightning, Big Storm will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Lightning Twenty Five during the season to the Lightning Foundation, which supports charities across Tampa Bay.
Big Storm Brewing Co. is an independent craft brewery, with two brewing and taproom facilities located in Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Big Storm is one of the fastest growing, independent craft breweries in the Tampa Bay Area and is currently expanding distribution throughout the State of Florida.
