Bolts Best Player of the Month: Alex Killorn

Alex Killorn continued his breakout offensive season with five goals and six points in January.

Killorn scored the game-winning goal in back-to-back victories over Vancouver and Arizona early in the month. With the Lightning's game against the Canucks at Amalie Arena on January 7 tied at two, Killorn scored on a breakaway to give Tampa Bay the lead. Two days later against the Coyotes, Killorn scored the game-opening goal in the Bolts' 4-0 shutout victory.

His goal in Tampa Bay's 7-1 victory over Winnipeg on January 17 checked off two personal milestones. It marked Killorn's 20th goal of the season, setting a new career-high, and was also the 300th point of his career. Killorn cleaned up the rebound of a Mitchell Stephens shot midway through the third period.
Killorn currently sits third on the team in goals and is fifth on the Bolts with 40 points.
