Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy paired up with Linus Ullmark (BOS) for the new Tendy Tandem event.
Vasilevskiy faced four breakaways and was perfect with four saves, stopping Sidney Crosby (PIT), Alex Ovechkin (WSH), Alex Carpenter (USA) and Artemi Panarin (NYR).
Vasilevskiy and Ullmark finished in third place out of four teams with nine points, trailing the Pacific Division team of Stuart Skinner (EDM) and Logan Thompson (VGK), that finished in second place with 11 points, while the Central Division team of Connor Hellebuyck (WIN) and Juuse Saros (NSH) won the event with 13 points.
Nikita Kucherov was one of 10 participants in the Accuracy Shooting competition and finished the preliminary round in fifth place, one spot shy of qualifying for the semifinal round. Kucherov hit all four targets on seven shot attempts, finishing the round in 18.147 seconds.
Brock Nelson (NYI) was the Accuracy Shooting champion, defeating Nazem Kadri (CGY) in the final round with a time of 12.419.
NHL All-Star Weekend concludes Saturday with the All-Star Game, the 3-on-3 tournament format kicking off at 3 p.m. (Eastern) with the first semifinal featuring the Central Division versus the Pacific Division. The second semifinal between the Metropolitan Division and the Atlantic Division, featuring Lightning All-Stars Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. (Eastern).
The two winning teams will play in the final.
