"We are excited to work together with another great community partner," Lightning Chief Executive Officer Steve Griggs said. "Both the Lightning and Ashley HomeStore's company objectives are heavily focused on serving the community and we look forward to giving back to the Tampa Bay area through many different initiatives."
Ashley HomeStore's Senior Vice President of Marketing also expressed excitement regarding the partnership: "Together, this partnership increases our collective outreach and ability to change lives in Tampa, which is truly incredible. We are proud to call this city home alongside the Lightning, who are deeply immersed in Tampa's culture and ongoing charitable efforts."
The Lightning also supported Ashley HomeStore's ninth annual Hope to Dream event on Sunday, December 8th at Armature Works. The private event provided 250 underserved children with a bed to call their own. The Lightning and Ashley HomeStore plan to host the 10th annual Hope to Dream event at AMALIE Arena in 2020.
The partnership also includes a local, season-long sweepstakes, which will allow one Lightning fan the chance to $4,000 shopping spree at Ashley HomeStore, two tickets to the last home game on March 31, 2020 and an autographed jersey.
