TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night, presented by Moffitt Cancer Center, on Thursday, November 2 when the team takes on the New York Rangers at AMALIE Arena at 7:30 p.m. The league-wide initiative is entering its 19th season of recognizing those affected by cancer.

Lightning players, and those across the NHL, will once again take their support to the ice. The Lightning will be wearing lavender jerseys during pre-game warm-ups prior to their game against the Rangers. Lightning players can also choose to use lavender tape on game sticks during Thursday's morning skate, warm-up and game. Lavender, which represents awareness for all forms of cancer, returns as the designated color for this year's initiative. Sticks used during morning skate and pre-game warm-ups will be available for auction in the Bolts Silent Auction located behind section 123.

. A special presentation honoring team members of Moffitt Cancer Center family will take place during the first intermission. There will also be a moment of silence for those who have been lost to cancer, a ceremonial puck drop and more.
The Hockey Fights Cancer tie, the signature item in the line of commemorative merchandise for this worthy cause, will once again be worn by all coaches, broadcasters and team personnel. Lightning coaches and broadcasters will also wear a lavender awareness ribbon.
The Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation will be receiving a $25,000 donation of proceeds from last season's 50/50 raffle. During the game, the Lightning will recognize key groups that will be in attendance for the game, including the Moffitt Cancer Center, the American Cancer Society, Faces of Courage and Tampa General Hospital. Families from these organizations will participate in special experiences such as Player High Five Tunnel, sitting in the penalty box during pre-game warm-ups, Zamboni rides and firing the tesla coils.
Fans will have the chance to fill out "I Fight For" cards on Ford Thunder Alley as well as on the concourse behind section 123. AMALIE Arena will also be lavender-clad for the game, including arena dasher boards and other signage. Lightning personalities will don lavender, including the Lightning Girls, ThunderBug, Ice Crew and the Bolt Brigade.
