With six points in four games last week, Brayden Point now leads the Lightning in points through the first 13 games of the season.

Point recorded four assists in Tampa Bay's pair of wins in Nashville to open the week. In the opening game of the series, he assisted on Steven Stamkos' empty net goal in the final seconds of a 4-1 win. The following night, he picked up helpers on a pair of Stamkos goals and a power play tally from Ondrej Palat.

Although the Bolts had their six-game winning streak snapped by the Panthers on Thursday, Point scored both goals for Tampa Bay in the 5-2 defeat. Point got the Lightning on the board midway through the second period, splitting the Florida defense down the middle and slipping his shot through Sergei Bobrovsky. On his second, Point cut hard to the net and roofed his shot over Bobrovsky's shoulder from a tight angle. Both goals came on the power play.
Point was held off the scoresheet for just the second time this season in Saturday's victory over Florida, bringing the end to his seven-game point streak.
