Eight points from Nikita Kucherov last week led the Lightning to a 2-0-1 record.

In Tuesday's win over Carolina, Kucherov assisted on goals from Alex Killorn and Brayden Point in regulation. In overtime, he played give-and-go with Steven Stamkos in the high slot to set up the Captain's game-winning goal in the first minute of the extra session.

CHI@TBL: Fake from Kucherov results in Point goal

Kucherov's chemistry with Stamkos and Point on the top line was on display in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Blackhawks. Just over six minutes into the game, Kucherov made a backhand feed out of the corner to Point in the slot that he one-touched across to Stamkos at the far circle for the goal. Four minutes later, Kucherov faked a shot from the right circle to get Kevin Lankinen off his line, but instead set up Point for a shot from the slot that doubled the Lightning's lead.
Tampa Bay's four-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday against Montreal, but Kucherov collected another three points. On the game-opening goal, Kucherov threaded a pass through the middle of the ice to Stamkos at the far point for a tap-in goal on the doorstep. His lone goal of the week came midway through the second period when he teed up a one-timed blast from the right circle on a power play. Kucherov also added the secondary assist on a Point power play goal in the final minute of the middle frame.
Despite missing a large chunk of the season due to injury, Kucherov still ranks fifth on the Bolts in scoring. He's recorded 39 points since returning to the lineup on January 6, the most on the team.
