Tampa Bay made it a victorious finish to the Alumni Weekend festivities, defeating the Canadiens 5-3 at AMALIE Arena on Saturday night for their third-consecutive win.

Brandon Hagel led the way for the Lightning, scoring a goal in each period to record a hat trick.
Brian Elliott got the start in the first half of the back-to-back and earned the victory with 18 saves.
The Bolts are back at home again on Sunday for their third matchup of the week against the Devils.

After dumping the puck behind the Lightning net, Mike Hoffman went unmarked on the near side of the ice. Nick Suzuki worked him the puck at the left circle, and Hoffman fired a wrist shot through Brian Elliott's five-hole to open the scoring.

The Bolts capitalized on an opportunity created when a Montreal defenseman broke his stick. Victor Hedman was able to step up to the slot uncontested and wire home a feed from Nick Paul that tied the game at one.

Nikita Kucherov's initial shot from the right circle got redirected and whistled wide of the net. The puck took a big bounce off the end boards behind the Montreal goal and fell to Brandon Hagel at the side of the net. Hagel buried the rebound from a sharp angle to give Tampa Bay their first lead of the night.

A quick Montreal answer less than two minutes later tied the game again. Denis Gurianov got himself open at the left circle and scored off a feed from Josh Anderson.

Lightning skaters got caught up ice in the closing seconds of a Montreal power play. The Canadiens quickly took the puck the other way with numbers and teed up Jess Ylonen for a one-timer from the left circle that beat Elliott with three seconds remaining on the man advantage.

Steven Stamkos made the Habs pay for an early third period interference penalty, blasting home the equalizer on a big one-timer from the left circle.

Mikhail Sergachev took the initial shot from the point and Hagel got positioning in front of the Montreal net to redirect the puck down off the shaft of his stick and past Montembeault. It was Hagel's second of the game and 26th of the season, setting a new career high for the forward.
