Lightning prospect roundup: Imama turning up offense

With an emphasis on drafting and developing, the Tampa Bay Lightning have created one of the strongest pipelines in the National Hockey League over the last few years. Each week, TampaBayLightning.com will provide statistical updates on key prospects throughout the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and the National Collegiate Athletic Associaton (NCAA), and will highlight select players from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

C Anthony Cirelli, Oshawa Generals
Drafted 72nd overall (3rd Round) in 2015
Ranked 13th in overall OHL scoring with 13 goals and 33 points through 24 games, Cirelli finished the month of November with 11 points in 11 games. He was one of six Bolts prospects named to Hockey Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp for the upcoming 2017 IIHF World Junior Championships, taking place this year in Montreal and Toronto.
LW Boris Katchouk, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
Drafted 44th overall (2nd Round) in 2016
Katchouk was the OHL's Third Star of the Night last Wednesday after a two-goal performance in his Soo's 4-1 win over Windsor. He rode an eight-game point streak from Nov. 13 to Nov. 30, going pointless in his most recent game on Dec. 2. During that streak he picked up 12 points to help push him into second place in Greyhounds' scoring with 13 goals and 24 points in 26 games.
C Christopher Paquette, Niagara IceDogs
Drafted 148th overall (5th Round) in 2016
Paquette has not found the scoresheet since Nov. 25, but his 20 points are still good for third in IceDogs scoring.
RW Taylor Raddysh, Erie Otters
Drafted 58th overall (2nd Round) in 2016
After a November that saw him post 12 goals and 27 points in 12 games for the Otters, Raddysh was named the OHL's Co-Player of the Month for November, splitting the honors with Erie teammate and Chicago prospect Alex DeBrincat. Raddysh continues to lead his Otters club with 23 goals and 58 points in 27 games, and was also named to the selection camp for the 2017 WJC.
D Matt Spencer, Peterborough Petes
Drafted 44th overall (2nd Round) in 2015
Spencer scored the game-winning goal for his Petes in their 5-2 win over Guelph on Saturday, for his third goal of the year. His three goals are good for second-best in Peterborough defensemen scoring.
C Mitchell Stephens, Saginaw Spirit
Drafted 33rd overall (2nd Round) in 2015
With 15 points in 10 November games, Stephens continues to lead his Spirit goals (11), assists, (17), and points (28). He was named Second Star with a goal and two assists in a 5-1 Saginaw win over Niagara on Saturday, but was a late scratch in their Sunday game. He was one of the six named to Hockey Canada's WJC camp.
RW Jonne Tammela, Peterborough Petes
Drafted 118th overall (4th Round) in 2015
Tammela scored in his OHL debut on Nov. 8, but has played in just one game since.
Western Hockey League (WHL)
D Libor Hajek, Saskatoon Blades
Drafted 37th overall (2nd Round) in 2016
Hajek has yet to score a goal this season, though his 10 assists in 27 games are good for second among all Blades defensemen.
C Brett Howden, Moose Jaw Warriors
Drafted 27th overall (1st Round) in 2016
Named to the selection camp roster as well, Howden continued his blistering pace since returning from injury with a three-point weekend as the Warriors split their games on Friday and Saturday. In his four games back, the Manitoba native has posted three goals and six assists.
G Connor Ingram, Kamloops Blazers
Drafted 88th overall (3rd Round) in 2016
Ingram remains second in goals-against average (2.12) and save percentage (.935) among all WHL goaltenders, earning a nod to the WJC camp for his efforts thus far this season for Kamloops. He is 14-9-1 through 24 games.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
LW Boko Imama, Saint John Sea Dogs
Drafted 180th overall (6th Round) in 2015
Imama continues to have himself an offensively-minded season, scoring two goals in a Saint John shootout win over Shawinigan on Thursday, his 14th and 15th goals, respectively. With those two, he has notched a new QMJHL career-high in goals and is seven points away from tying his career-high in points (28).
RW Mathieu Joseph, Saint John Sea Dogs
Drafted 120th overall (4th Round) in 2015
With an assist on Sunday, Joseph extended his point streak to 16 games dating back to Oct. 26. In that span, he's recorded 11 goals and 15 assists, including five assists in his last three games. Joseph is the only Bolts prospect from the QMJHL to be selected for the WJC camp.
C Otto Somppi, Halifax Mooseheads
Drafted 206th overall (7th Round) in 2016
After going pointless in three games, Somppi put up assists in back-to-back Mooseheads road games this past weekend, including a power play assist in their 5-4 shootout loss to Baie-Comeau on Saturday.
LW Dennis Yan, Shawinigan Cataractes
Drafted 64th overall (3rd Round) in 2015
Yan added a power play assist this past weekend as Shawinigan dropped both their contests. His 16 goals are still good for a Cataractes-best and he sits second overall in team scoring with 26 points.
NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (NCAA)
F Ross Colton, U. of Vermont (Hockey East)
Drafted 118th overall (4th Round) in 2016
After a four-point weekend at the Friendship Four tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Colton was named Hockey East's Co-Rookie of the Week. He added two goals and an assist in the championship game against Quinnipiac University and his 12 points is tied for third among all Hockey East rookies.
F Ryan Lohin, UMass Lowell (Hockey East)
Drafted 208th overall (7th Round) in 2016
Lohin ranks sixth in scoring with 10 points in 16 games for the River Hawks as a freshman forward.
D John MacLeod, Boston University (Hockey East)
Drafted 57th overall (2nd Round) in 2014
In his junior season with the Terriers, MacLeod has four assists through 12 games to go along with a plus-3 rating and 14 shots from the blueline.
G Kris Oldham, U. of Nebraska-Omaha (NCHC)
Drafted 153rd overall (6th Round) in 2015
Through six games, Oldham has a 3-2-1 record for UNO, with a 2.97 goals-against and a .901 save percentage.
D Ryan Zuhlsdorf, U. of Minnesota (Big-10)
Drafted 150th overall (5th Round) in 2015
Zuhlsdorf has two goals and an assist through 13 games with the Gophers this season, and is a plus-3 with seven shots on goal.
AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE - SYRACUSE CRUNCH
Adam Wilcox earned his first professional shutout in a 4-0 win over Rochester on Saturday … Jeremy Morin scored his 100th AHL goal in that game as well … Matt Taormina has points in 12 of his 15 games this season and leads the team in scoring with 18 points.
