The Tampa Bay Lightning owned two picks in the Sixth Round of the 2020 NHL Draft. With the first of those two selections, the Lightning chose Nick Capone, a 6-foot-1, 202-pound center from East Haven, Conn.
Capone played last season with Tri-City of the United States Hockey League and posted seven goals and 19 points in 34 games while also compiling 96 penalty minutes. Capone is a right shot and the third center drafted by the Lightning in the 2020 Draft. He is committed to play collegiately at the University of Connecticut. Capone is the 126th-rated skater in North America by NHL's Central Scouting.
