Perry, 36, skated in 49 games with the Montreal Canadiens last season, posting nine goals and 21 points to go along with 39 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound forward ranked seventh on the Canadiens for goals and was ninth for points. Perry also appeared in 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games last year, posting four goals and 10 points. He ranked fourth on the team for points and was second for penalty minutes (25) during the postseason.

The Peterborough, Ontario native has skated in 1,094 career NHL games over 16 seasons, collecting 386 goals and 818 points to go along with 1,219 penalty minutes and a +70 rating. Perry has been to the last two Stanley Cup Finals as a member of the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens. He set career highs for goals (50) and points (98) during the 2010-11 season while with the Anaheim Ducks. Perry has won the Stanley Cup (2007 with Anaheim), won two Olympic Gold Medals with Team Canada (2010 & 2014) and won the Hart Trophy and Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy during the 2010-11 season.
Perry was originally drafted by the Ducks in the first round, 28th overall, at the 2003 NHL Draft.
