TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare to a two-year, one-way contract worth $1 million AAV, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Bellemare, 36, skated in 53 games last season for the Colorado Avalanche, posting nine goals and 11 points to go along with 21 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 198-pound forward tied his career best with nine goals last season. He finished the regular season scoring in back-to-back games for Colorado. Bellemare also appeared in 10 playoff games for the Avs in 2021, tallying three assists.
The Le Blanc-Mesnil, France native has skated in 507 career NHL games in seven seasons, collecting 47 goals and 98 points to go along with 123 penalty minutes. Bellemare set career highs for assists (13) and points (22) during the 2019-20 season while with Colorado. Bellemare has represented France at the IIHF World Championships nine times from 2008 through 2017, serving as an assistant captain five of those times.
Bellemare came to the NHL as a free agent signing by the Philadelphia Flyers on June 11, 2014.
