Bolts sign free agent forward Logan Brown to a one-year, two-way contract

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed free agent forward Logan Brown to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

The 25-year-old Brown spent the last two seasons with the St. Louis Blues where he tallied six goals and 17 points over 69 contests. Last season he skated in 30 games with St. Louis, notching two goals and six points while also playing in two games with the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, where he posted two assists.

Brown began his NHL career with the Ottawa Senators, making his NHL debut October 5, 2017 versus Washington, and skated in parts of four seasons with the Senators from 2017-18 to 2020-21, recording a goal and nine points in 30 games. He was acquired by St. Louis along with a conditional fourth round draft pick from Ottawa in exchange for forward Zach Sanford on September 25, 2021.

The 6-foot-6, 218-pound Brown is one game shy of reaching the 100-game milestone in the NHL, having recorded seven goals and 26 points in 99 career contests. He has also played 115 games in the AHL between Springfield and the Belleville Senators with totals of 29 goals, 98 points and a plus-27 rating.

Brown is a former first round pick (11th overall) of Ottawa in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. A native of St. Louis, Brown is the son of former Blues defenseman Jeff Brown.
