The Lightning are back in action following the Christmas break, taking on the Canadiens for the first time this season. Prior to the break, Tampa Bay had put together two straight wins over Ottawa and Minnesota. The Canadiens will be playing the second half of a back-to-back after facing the Hurricanes in Raleigh on Wednesday.
