Galchenyuk, 27, appeared in eight games with the Ottawa Senators during the 2020-21 season, recording a goal before being traded to Carolina on February 13, 2021. In 557 career NHL regular season games between Montreal, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Ottawa, he has recorded 321 points (136 goals, 185 assists), while adding four goals and nine assists in 32 career Stanley Cup playoff games.
Galchenyuk was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (third overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
