The Maple Leafs will compete for the first time in the eight-team tournament which consists of prospects from the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues.
Attending this year's tournament will be two draft picks from the 2019 NHL Draft (Nicholas Roberston and Mikhail Abramov), four draft picks from the 2018 NHL Draft (Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Mac Hollowell, Filip Kral and Riley Stotts), one draft pick from the 2017 NHL Draft (Ian Scott), two draft picks from the 2016 NHL Draft (Egor Korshkov and Joseph Woll) and one draft pick from the 2015 NHL Draft (Jesper Lindgren).
In addition to the Maple Leafs' draft picks, the roster will include Teemu Kivihalme who signed a one-year entry level contract with the Maple Leafs on May 7, 2019, 12 players signed to AHL contracts (Matt Bradley, Trey Bradley, Justin Brazeau, Colt Conrad, Joseph Duszak, Hudson Elynuik, Giorgio Estephan, Ryan Moore, Kristians Rubins, Sergei Sapego, Riley Woods and Maksim Zhukov). Additionally, the Maple Leafs have invited nine free agents (Vladimir Alistrov, Joe Carroll, James Hamblin, Sean Larochelle, Josh Nelson, Marc-Antoine Pepin, Carter Robertson, Xavier Simoneau and Nathan Staios).
Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe will oversee the team along with assistant coaches Rob Davison, Jack Han and A.J. MacLean, goaltending coach Jon Elkin and Newfoundland Growlers head coach John Snowden.
