From October 3 through to the 2018 holiday season, NHL 19 gamers can compete 1-vs-1 online to earn points and climb a virtual ladder. Ladder rankings will determine qualification for various tournaments and will give gamers access to exciting perks and rewards throughout the league.

The Leafs Gaming League will also host Leafs Gaming Day on October 21 at Real Sports Bar and Grill in Toronto. The top 8 ranked players on the Leafs Gaming League ladder as of October 18, 2018, will be invited to compete in a tournament bracket showdown on the day. The winner of the bracket will then get to put their skills to the ultimate test as they go controller-to-controller versus the best NHL 19 celebrity gamer at the event. Further details will be announced at a later day.
