Maple Leafs Complete Trade With Carolina Hurricanes

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has acquired Carolina’s unsigned draft pick Cade Webber in exchange for Toronto’s sixth-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Webber, 23, has recorded six assists in 30 games this season with Boston University. The Meadville, PA native has posted 16 points (one goal, 15 assists) in 115 career NCAA games with Boston.

The 6’7, 210-pound Defenceman was selected by Carolina in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 2019 NHL draft.
