Over the course of his eight-year NHL career with the Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, Montréal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, and Calgary Flames, the Nynashamn, Sweden native has collected 187 points (39 goals, 148 assists) in 370 regular season games while recorded eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 31 Stanley Cup playoff contests.
He has represented Sweden at the IIHF World Championships on four occasions, capturing a gold medal in 2018.
Gustafsson was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round (93rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
