The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has loaned defenceman Andreas Borgman to the Toronto Marlies (AHL). Defenceman Roman Polak has been activated from the injured reserve list after missing the team's previous three games due to a viral infection.
Borgman, 22, has collected 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 48 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Stockholm, Sweden native signed with Toronto as a free agent on May 16, 2017 after spending the 2016-17 season with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League.
The Maple Leafs host the Anaheim Ducks at Air Canada Centre tonight at 7 p.m.
