The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that goaltender Calvin Pickard has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) as goaltender Curtis McElhinney suffered a lower body injury.

Pickard, 25, owns a 10-5-0-0 record with a 2.20 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage in 15 games with the Marlies this season. In 86 career regular season NHL games, the Moncton, New Brunswick native holds a 28-44-6 record alongside a 2.77 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage. Pickard was originally acquired by the Maple Leafs in a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights on October 6th, 2017.
The Maple Leafs return to action tonight when they visit the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center at 7:00 p.m. MST.
