Leafs Recall Gauthier

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the club has recalled forward Frederik Gauthier from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). In a corresponding move, the Maple Leafs have placed defenceman Martin Marincin on the injured reserve list with a lower body injury.

Gauthier, 21, has collected four points (one goal, three assists) in 16 games with the Marlies this season. The Laval, Quebec native skated in seven games with the Maple Leafs in 2015-16, including his NHL debut on March 19 against Buffalo. He was selected by Toronto in the first round (21st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The Maple Leafs host the Anaheim Ducks at Air Canada Centre tonight at 7:30 p.m.
