The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Joseph Duszak to a one-year, two-way contract extension. The contract carries an NHL salary of $750,000.

Duszak, 24, skated in 25 games with the Toronto Marlies this season, registering four goals and eight assists. In 50 career AHL games, the Franklin Square, New York native has recorded 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists). Prior to joining the Marlies, Duszak appeared in 101 NCAA games with Mercyhurst University, picking up 99 career points (30 goals, 69 assists) and 98 penalty minutes.
