Spezza, 36, has collected 915 points (332 goals, 583 assists) in 1,065 regular season games and 70 points (25 goals, 45 assists) in 80 playoff games with the Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators. Over the course of the 2018-19 season with Dallas, the two-time NHL All-Star registered 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) in 76 regular season games while leading all NHL players who took at least 200 faceoffs in faceoff win percentage (58.2%). He added five points (three goals, two assists) in 11 playoff games.
Internationally, the Toronto, Ontario native has represented Canada at the IIHF World Championships four times (2008, 2009, 2011, 2015), the IIHF World Junior Championships three times (2000, 2001, 2002) and the Spengler Cup in 2012.
Spezza was chosen by Ottawa with the second overall selection in the 2001 NHL Draft.
