Gogolev, 21, recorded 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 13 games with the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies after collecting two goals and an assist in 12 games with Väsby IK of HockeyAllsvenskan last season. Prior to turning pro, the Moscow, Russia native spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League between the Guelph Storm and Peterborough Petes, registering 182 points (90 goals, 92 assists) in 219 regular season games while capturing an OHL championship with Guelph in 2019 and earning a spot on the OHL's third All-Star team in 2019-20.
