The retired Army lieutenant turned 101 on Monday, and on Thursday, he was part of a memorable rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the Tampa Bay Lightning played the New York Rangers at Amalie Arena.
McClintock, along with retired Air Force Tech. Sgt. Sonya Bryson, sang the national anthem on Military Appreciation Night in Tampa.
McClinton is a World War II veteran who joined the U.S. Army Air Corps at age 17 and piloted P51 Mustangs with the 86th Fighter Bomber Groups, flying 86 combat missions over Italy and North Africa.
This was his third time singing the anthem at a Lightning game, and judging from the reaction on social media, he was a big hit.
