The end of the year offers the chance to reflect on the previous 12 months.
For all of the tremendous accomplishments that took place, 2016 also was defined by those we lost, including hockey icon Gordie Howe, two members of the Hockey Hall of Fame who were teammates of Howe with the Detroit Red Wings and one of the longest-tenured owners in the NHL.
