BUY LOW

-- The Arizona Coyotes have the third lowest 5-on-5 shooting percentage plus save percentage in the NHL (950) entering Friday. Arizona's 4-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, coupled with dual-eligible forward Alex Galchenyuk returning soon from a lower-body injury, could provide a spark for the Coyotes moving forward. Galchenyuk, who is expected to skate on the second line when healthy, could make forward Vinnie Hinostroza (C/LW; 1 percent owned in Yahoo) an attractive streaming option. Goalie Antti Raanta is 2-3-0 with a .921 SV% through five games and could benefit from additional goal support (seven goals; fewest in NHL).
-- The Vegas Golden Knights have scored 25 goals through seven games (T-25th in NHL). Center William Karlsson, their leading scorer from last season, has one goal and 13 shots on goal over the span. The Golden Knights rank third behind the San Jose Sharks and Carolina Hurricanes in 5-on-5 shot attempts (113), but their 5-on-5 shooting percentage (5.1) is tied for 29th. Their positive position metrics and low shooting percentage indicate players like Karlsson and left wing Max Pacioretty (one goal in seven games) should bounce back.

SELL HIGH

-- The Ottawa Senators are top 10 in goals (24; 7th) and goals against (22; T-9th) in the NHL. Rookie left wing Brady Tkachuk was off to a hot start with six points (three goals, three assists) in four games but is expected to miss a month with a torn ligament in his knee. Tkachuk's injury could have a negative impact on Ottawa's second power-play unit, where defenseman Maxime Lajoie (61 percent) played with Tkachuk. The Senators' 5-on-5 shooting percentage (13.0) leads the NHL but could regress closer to their total from last season (7.8; T-14th). It's also worth noting forwards Matt Duchene and Mark Stone are potential 2019 unrestricted free agents.
-- The New Jersey Devils are tied for second with the Washington Capitals and Ottawa Senators in goals per game (4.0) and have allowed the fewest (1.80). Goalie Keith Kinkaid is among the elite at the position with a .941 SV% (5th; minimum four games) and is first in shutouts (2). Kinkaid could keep the No. 1 job over Cory Schneider, who is nearing a return from a hip injury, but the situation is worth monitoring. Right wing Kyle Palmieri is tied for third in goals (seven) with Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche but has a much higher shooting percentage (35.0) than his career average (12.9) and remains an attractive sell-high trade candidate.
