Carey Price, G (NHL.com rank: 44) -- Entering his 14th NHL season, Price remains an elite option at the position; he was 27-25-6 last season with a .909 save percentage and four shutouts in 58 games and 5-5 with a .936 save percentage and two shutouts in the postseason. Montreal's acquisition of goalie Jake Allen in a trade with the St. Louis Blues on Sept. 2 could benefit Price, who could see an uptick in save percentage with additional rest.

Shea Weber, D (99) -- Eighth among NHL defensemen in shots on goal (185) and tied for 33rd in hits (112) last season, Weber scored 36 points (15 goals, 21 assists) in 65 games. He is worth selecting among the top 20 at the position and could finish even higher with his elite category coverage.
Brendan Gallagher, RW (108) -- Fifth at the position in goals (86) and second in shots on goal (806) the past three seasons, Gallagher scored 43 points (22 goals, 21 assists) in 59 games last season and should be selected around the top 100 overall. He will have more competition for points this season after the additions of forwards Tyler Toffoli and Josh Anderson but should still finish higher based on category coverage.
Nick Suzuki, C/RW (132) -- After an impressive rookie season with 41 points (13 goals, 28 assists) in 71 games and seven points (four goals, three assists) in 10 postseason games, Suzuki should be a fixture in Montreal's top six and on its first power-play unit. With solid lineup placement and an unknown ceiling, Suzuki could be the Canadiens' most valuable forward in fantasy this season.
Jeff Petry, D(147) -- With 40 points (11 goals, 29 assists) in 71 games last season, Petry has established consistency with at least that many points and 11 goals in three straight seasons and remains a safe selection around the top 150 in standard 12-team leagues.
