Trevor Zegras, C -- He led NHL rookies in points per game (0.81; minimum 50 games) and power-play goals (nine) last season. Zegras, who was also tied for second among rookies in goals (23) behind Tanner Jeannot (24) of the Nashville Predators, should be considered a fringe top 100 overall fantasy player with the ceiling of being a top 10 center as early as this season.

Troy Terry, RW -- He was one of the best fantasy pickups in the NHL last season, leading the Ducks with NHL career highs in points (67) and goals (37). Terry can build on his success if he plays more often on an even-strength line with Zegras (each forward is a potential 2023 restricted free agent) and/or rookie Mason McTavish after his frequent center Ryan Getzlaf retired.

Mason McTavish, LW -- He had three points (two goals, one assist), one on the power play, in nine NHL games with the Ducks last season and led the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship with 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in seven games to help Canada win the gold medal. McTavish, with a chance to slot into Anaheim's top six and power-play mix with potential exposure to Zegras and/or Terry, should be considered a fringe top 30 fantasy left wing and among the five most valuable rookies for this season.

John Klingberg, D -- He ranks eighth among NHL defensemen in points (374 in 552 games) and 11th in power-play points (148) since entering the League in 2014-15. Klingberg is a fringe top 30 defenseman option after signing a one-year contract with Anaheim, where he's expected to play on the first power play.

John Gibson, G -- The clear No. 1 goalie could benefit from offseason additions of Klingberg and forwards Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano and is a fantasy bounce-back candidate considering he had the third-best save percentage (.921) in the NHL from 2013-14 to 2018-19 (minimum 150 games in span).
