The Wild also agreed to terms with Frederick Gaudreau on a two-year, $2.4 million contract. It has an average annual value of $1.2 million.
The 28-year-old forward scored 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 19 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season and three points (one goal, two assists) in six Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Signed as a free agent by the Penguins on Oct. 10, 2020, Gaudreau has scored 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 103 NHL games with the Nashville Predators and Penguins and six points (four goals, two assists) in 14 playoff games.
