Ovi football with Commanders

When Alex Ovechkin isn’t on the ice, you might find him on the gridiron.

The Washington Capitals forward visited the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field before the team’s season opener on Sunday.

Ovechkin picked up the pigskin and looked like a natural on the field.

His 4-year-old son, Sergei, joined him on the field wearing a Terry McLaurin jersey.

Earlier in the day, the Capitals wished the Commanders luck in their season opener.

As good as Ovechkin looked on the grass, he’ll be back on the ice in the blink of an eye.
