Stalock

Alex Stalock agreed to a three-year, $2.355 million contract with the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.

It has an average annual value of $785,000.
The 31-year-old goalie, a fourth-round pick (No. 112) of the San Jose Sharks in the 2005 NHL Draft, is 6-5-0 with a 2.92 goals-against average and .894 save percentage in 14 games (10 starts) this season as the backup to Devan Dubnyk.
"Family-wise it's awesome," Stalock, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, told the Wild website. "[My 3-year-old son Simon] is just getting to that age where he understands a little bit. We know this doesn't happen to everybody. Not everybody is as lucky as we are to get to play the sport I love. Someday it'll sink in for him how special it was."
Stalock is 41-35-11 with 2.55 GAA and .909 save percentage in 106 games (81 starts) in eight seasons with the Sharks and Wild.
Stalock was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs by the Sharks on Feb.28, 2016, but never played an NHL game for them. He signed a two-year contract with Minnesota on July 1, 2016.
"It's obviously a huge confidence boost that they're willing to commit to someone that long," Stalock said. "It's an honor for me, but now it's time to go out and prove on the ice that it's worth it. I'm looking forward to the test."
