4 Flames players post 3 point nights in 6-2 win

CALGARY --The Calgary Flames won their eighth straight game when Elias Lindholm scored twice in a 6-2 victory against the Anaheim Ducks at Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday.

Matthew Tkachuk and Johnny Gaudreau each had a goal and two assists, and Rasmus Andersson had three assists for the Flames (28-13-6), who have won 10 of their past 11 games and have outscored opponents 37-13 during the streak. Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves.
"We just play, follow the system, and everyone's buying in," Lindholm said. "We just do the same things over and over again and eventually, the teams are wearing out and we take over the games."

Isac Lundestrom had a goal and an assist for the Ducks (23-18-9), who have lost three in the row and played the opener of a three-game Western Canada road trip that continues at the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.
"I think we had spurts again of showing our game and showing that against teams like that," Anaheim defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk said. "Really down the stretch here it's going to be harder and harder to play teams, teams are going to get tighter and play their best hockey and play their most structured hockey and we have to find ways to push through that and score goals and win."
John Gibson allowed four goals on 20 shots before being replaced at 8:05 of the second period by Anthony Stolarz, who made 21 saves.
"I'm big on odds and percentages," Ducks coach Dallas Eakins said. "The chances that we were going to come back were low, so I'd rather have Gibson] rested and ready for [Thursday]."
Dillon Dube put Calgary up 1-0 at 5:34 of the first period when he redirected Andersson's point shot between Gibson's legs. The goal came one minute after the Flames successfully killed Lindholm's double-minor for high sticking 34 seconds into the game.
"It's obviously huge," Andersson said. "You never want to start the game with that many PKs and for that long, but the PK did a really good job and we've been good on the PK lately."
Lindholm made it 2-0 at 12:55 on a rebound of Tkachuk's shot on the power play to extend his goal streak to six games.
Sonny Milano cut it to 2-1 at 1:35 of the second period with a wrist shot over Markstrom's glove.
Lindholm scored again at 3:43 when he retrieved his own errant bank pass and shot it over Gibson's glove to make it 3-1. He has seven goals during his goal streak.
"That was not planned," Lindholm said. "I tried to pass to (
[Oliver Kylington
) on the blue line there and it was a bad pass and bounced out and I was just first on the puck and after that, it was a nice shot. So, it was good to see it go in."

Tkachuk put the Flames up 4-1 at 4:24 when he shot five-hole off the rush on a setup by Gaudreau.
Lundstrom scored shorthanded to cut it to 4-2 at 4:26 of the third period. The goal, his third in the past two games, tied a Ducks record for most shorthanded goals in a season at four.
"Even after the first it's 2-0, I think we had some good opportunities that we obviously didn't score on," Shattenkirk said. "At the end of the day, it's still 2-0. That's a tough lead to come back on, especially against a team like that. That lapse we had in the second is really what shot us in the foot."
Gaudreau scored into an empty net to make it 5-2 at 16:48, and Andrew Mangiapane scored his team-leading 25th goal of the season at 17:51 for the 6-2 final.
