Anaheim Ducks defenseman Clayton Stoner will be out 4-6 weeks after having abdominal surgery Dec. 21.
Stoner, 31, has not played since a 4-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 15 and has been on injured reserve since Nov. 17. He has one goal and two assists in 14 games this season.

Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen will miss the two-game road trip against the Calgary Flames on Thursday (9 p.m. ET; SN360, PRIME, NHL.TV) and Vancouver Canucks on Friday with an illness. Defenseman Brandon Montour, 22, was called up from San Diego of the American Hockey League and will make his NHL debut on Thursday.
Vatanen, 25, has 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 35 games this season.
Montour, the Ducks' second-round pick (No. 55) in the 2014 NHL Draft, has 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 25 games with San Diego this season.
