As part of NHL.com's 32 in 32 series, the fantasy hockey staff put together projections for relevant players on the Anaheim Ducks. Players are listed in order of fantasy rank for this season.
Reason for optimism: Zegras ranks second in points (139 in 180 games) among players selected in the 2019 NHL Draft, behind center Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils (207 in 244 games).
Reason for optimism: Terry has had at least 60 points in each of the past two seasons and is tied for 29th in the NHL in even-strength goals (47) in that span.
Reason for optimism: McTavish ranked third among rookies in points (43; 17 goals, 26 assists) and power-play points (14), and was first in shots on goal (161) in 80 games last season.
Reason for optimism: Killorn had NHL career highs in goals (27), assists (37) and points (64) with the Tampa Bay Lightning last season. The veteran forward could take on a top-line and/or first power-play role for an up-and-coming team under new coach Greg Cronin.
Reason for optimism: Drysdale ranked second in points (32 in 81 games) among rookie defensemen in 2021-22, behind Moritz Seider of the Detroit Red Wings (50 in 82 games). He is expected to be ready for training camp after being limited to eight games last season because of a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
