Frederik Andersen proved to be the sixth man needed during a Carolina Hurricanes power play opportunity.
After a delayed penalty call on the New York Rangers, the Hurricanes goalie was on his way to the bench when he got caught up in play near his own blue line on Tuesday. Andersen and forward Martin Necas crossed paths and Andersen ended up with the puck. He skated with it to the red line before sending it off the boards and back to forward Jordan Staal near his own goal.
