The goalie did not take part in practice Saturday but skated afterward. He made 21 saves in a 4-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.
Coach Rick Bowness said he didn't know if Khudobin would miss more than one game, and that communication with any player regarding discipline is very open.
"We're a family and we'll deal with things internally," Bowness said Saturday. "But you deal with things by communicating and making your feelings known on what is and what isn't acceptable. I have very few rules, but you [darn] well better follow them."
Jake Oettinger started, and Landon Bow was the backup goalie, against the Blackhawks.
Khudobin is 3-2-1 with a 2.51 goals-against average, .908 save percentage and one shutout in six starts after signing a three-year, $10 million contract ($3.33 million average annual value) to remain with the Stars on Oct. 9. Khudobin missed the start of training camp because of immigration issues after having surgery to fix a nerve issue in his right arm in October, then contracted COVID-19 in Russia.
"It wasn't my night," Khudobin said after the game Thursday. "That's how I feel. I feel pretty good physically, mentally, but there's something that wasn't comfortable."
Alexander Radulov did not play Sunday because of a lower-body injury. The forward is day to day. He has scored 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in eight games, second on the Stars to forward Joe Pavelski, who has scored 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in eight games.
