ARI@ANA: Henrique scores PPG for Ducks win in OT

ANAHEIM --
Jamie Drysdale
and Trevor Zegras each scored his first NHL goal for the Anaheim Ducks in a 3-2 overtime win against the Arizona Coyotes at Honda Center on Thursday.

Adam Henrique won it with a power-play goal 47 seconds into overtime.
Rickard Rakell had two assists, and Ryan Miller made 23 saves for the Ducks (9-16-6), who ended a four-game losing streak. Drysdale also had an assist in his first NHL game.
"It was pretty awesome," Drysdale said. "I don't think you can ask for a better way to start it off."

Drysdale, at 18 years, 344 days, is the third defenseman in NHL history to have a multipoint game in his NHL regular-season debut before turning 19, joining Ray Bourque of the Boston Bruins (Oct. 11, 1979) and Petr Svoboda of the Montreal Canadiens (Oct. 11, 1984).
It was Miller's 390th win, passing Dominik Hasek for 14th in NHL history.
Conor Garland had a goal and an assist, and Adin Hill made 28 saves for the Coyotes (12-13-5), who scored on their first two shots after combining for two goals in their previous four games (0-3-1). They will play again here on Saturday.
"Really frustrating," Garland said. "It stinks, but we've got to find a way to get a third goal there."
The Ducks went on a power play with 26 seconds left in the third period after Tyler Pitlick was called for interference on
Max Jones
, and Henrique won it when he scored on a one-timer off a pass from Kevin Shattenkirk at 4-on-3.
Henrique has 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 11 games since he was put on waivers by Anaheim on Feb. 21.
Zegras, the No. 9 pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, received a pass from Troy Terry in front of the crease and faked out Hill before flipping the puck high in the net to tie it 2-2 at 14:30 of the second period.
"To see one just go into the net, actually, what are we [11] games in here, was a bit of a relief," Zegras said. "It was a pretty exciting moment."

ARI@ANA: Zegras uses a filthy move for first NHL goal

Drysdale, the No. 6 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, scored on a point shot to make it 2-1 at 12:01 of the first period.
"You can't take your foot off the pedal at all," Arizona forward John Hayden said.
The first Ducks goal initially was credited to Jones on a deflection but was later changed to Drysdale, giving Anaheim forward Ryan Getzlaf the 700th assist of his NHL career.
"I was joking with [Zegras] on the way here, just saying, 'You know, if I don't fall on my solo lap, then it's a win,' so it was a lot of fun to get that [goal] under my belt," Drysdale said. "Coming out with the win on top of it made it that much better."
Garland gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead at 1:13 of the first period. Nick Schmaltz stopped the puck after defenseman Cam Fowler tried to backhand it up the wall, and he centered it toward Garland. Ducks defenseman Jani Hakanpää was in position to intercept the pass, but the puck bounced off his blade to Garland, who scored on a one-timer.
Clayton Keller scored on one-timer off a pass from Garland for a 2-0 lead at 7:07. Hakanpaa knocked the puck away from Schmaltz as he carried it down the left side, but it went to Garland behind the net.
"It's been a while since we scored a power-play goal (0-for-17 past five games)," Garland said. "It's been a while since we had over three goals, so we've got to start scoring some goals here."

ARI@ANA: Keller finishes Garland's pass for 2-0 lead

Miller made 23 straight saves after Keller's goal, including 10 in the third period, when Anaheim had been outscored 11-0 in the previous four games.
"We got down early and I thought we showed a lot of determination and we were playing a good brand of hockey tonight," Miller said. "We were above the puck and we had a lot of zone time, a lot of control of the puck."
