ARI@VGK: Fleury ties Belfour with 484th NHL victory

LAS VEGAS -- Marc-Andre Fleury moved into a tie for fourth place in wins in NHL history when the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Arizona Coyotes 1-0 at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday.

Fleury, who made 14 saves, tied Ed Belfour with his 484th win, which is five behind Roberto Luongo for third. Fleury also tied Patrick Roy for 15th in League history with his 66th shutout.
"With Patrick, he was one of my idols growing up. Loved watching him and obviously I have a lot of respect for him," Fleury said. "It's humbling to be up there with him."
Fleury's win was his first in four starts for Vegas, which has scored five goals in those games.
"The past few games had been hard. Couldn't get a win. Took a while," Fleury said. "Maybe we weren't scoring much as we used to, but I didn't make the key saves to keep us in and get us those wins. Tonight was a different style game, a little harder mentality, but it was nice to get the win in the end."
Tomas Nosek scored the lone goal for the Golden Knights (27-11-2), who swept the two-game set and have won three of their past four.

The Coyotes (19-18-5) lost their third consecutive game after winning six of their previous seven. Adin Hill, who was pulled in a 7-4 loss here Friday, made 28 saves in his 10th consecutive start.
"Played hard," Arizona coach Rick Tocchet said. "Proud of the guys. [The] guys worked hard tonight. It was a good effort."
The Golden Knights outshot the Coyotes 16-4 in the second period, but Hill was able to keep the game scoreless.
"We were ready to go," Arizona defenseman Alex Goligoski said. "[We] had a lot of intensity, the intentions were there, tried to do the right things. We've got to value possessions in the [offensive] zone. Sometimes we rushed plays a little bit."
Nosek gave Vegas a 1-0 lead at 10:38 of the third period. Jakob Chychrun turned the puck over in Arizona's zone to Jonathan Marchessault, who found Nosek for a shot from the right circle.
"I really liked our detail and our effort tonight, defensively and offensively," Golden Knights coach Peter DeBoer said. "I liked the fact we stuck with it. We didn't get away from our game plan and didn't get impatient. We just stuck with it."
