Chicago Blackhawks forward Artemi Panarin won the Calder Trophy as the League's top rookie at the 2016 NHL Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Panarin led all rookies with 30 goals, 47 assists and 77 points, which was tied for ninth in the League. Panarin also led rookies in power-play points (24) and game-winning goals (seven), and became the first Blackhawks player to win the Calder Trophy since teammate Patrick Kane in 2008.
Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid and Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere were the other finalists.
