Girard brought the Stanley Cup to his hometown of Roberval, Quebec, where he filled the top bowl with his dog, Nordi.
His other dog, Tornade, was too big to fit in the Cup, so he posed for the picture to the side of it, which Girard posted to his
Instagram account of his dogs.
There was a
parade with the Cup in Roberval
on Sunday afternoon, where many locals and fans gathered on the three kilometers of Saint-Joseph Boulevard and the Place de la Marina in Roberval.
At one point, Girard and the Cup headed to the beach.
