Tyson Jost signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The 22-year-old forward, who was a restricted free agent, scored 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) in 67 games last season. He also scored one goal in 12 postseason games for Colorado, which was eliminated by the Dallas Stars in seven games in the Western Conference Second Round.
"Tyson is a strong two-way player who has NHL experience at a young age and continues to grow his game," Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic said.
Selected by the Avalanche with the No. 10 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, Jost has scored 72 points (32 goals, 40 assists) in 208 regular-season games, and six points (four goals, two assists) in 30 postseason games.
