He scored six points (two goals, four assists) in 18 Stanley Cup Playoff games, winning the Cup with the Lightning for the second straight season after he was acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 24, 2020.
Signed by San Jose as a free agent March 6, 2014, Goodrow has scored 93 points (32 goals, 61 assists) in 331 regular-season games with the Lightning and Sharks and 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 65 playoff games.
The Rangers also traded forward Brett Howden to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday for defenseman
Nick DeSimone
and a fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft.
Howden signed a one-year, $885,000 contract with the Rangers on July 9. The 23-year-old scored seven points (one goal, six assists) in 42 games this season.
