Barry Trotz, who guided the Washington Capitals to the Presidents' Trophy this season, won the Jack Adams Award as the League's best coach at the 2016 NHL Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
In Trotz's second season with the Capitals, Washington had a League-leading 120 points and a 56-18-8 record. The Capitals, who set their record for road wins (27), were second in scoring (3.02 goals per game) and second in goals-against per game (2.33).
