Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop and Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard each left the game Monday at Amalie Arena.

Bishop appeared to be injured making a save on a shot from Red Wings defenseman Nick Jensen. Bishop left the ice at 12:14 of the first period during a stoppage in play.
Howard left 5:39 into in the second period after a collision in his crease. Howard was helped off the ice favoring his right leg.
Bishop made four saves; he was replaced by Andrei Vasilevskiy. Howard made 15 saves; he was replaced by Petr Mrazek.

Tampa Bay led 1-0 on a goal by Brian Boyle at 7:02 of the first period.
The Lightning were missing injured forwards Nikita Kucherov (lower body), Ondrej Palat (undisclosed), Ryan Callahan (lower body) and Steven Stamkos (knee).
Bishop was not on the bench to start the second period. The Lightning emergency goalie is Brian Breseman, their director of public relations.
