NFL’s Sample looks sharp on ice in social media video

It looks like Drew Sample dusted off those hockey cobwebs pretty quickly.

On Saturday, the tight end for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals posted a video on social media showing himself taking a few slapshots at a practice arena. The caption said it’s been a while since he hit the ice, but it sure didn’t look like it.

Sample isn’t the only NFL player that can skate. Now-retired NFL star JJ Watt has previously posted videos of himself on the ice, most recently in March at Mullet Arena in Arizona.

Sample has been a supporter of the Columbus Blue Jackets since he started playing professional football in Ohio five years ago, and back in April, the team gave Sample a pair of skates.

We’re not sure if those are the skates Sample was using on Saturday, but we wouldn’t be surprised.
