Jagr-Iginla 7-27

Many players have signed with a new team since NHL free agency began July 1, but several others remain on the market almost one month later.
Here are the best remaining unrestricted free agents, according to NHL.com:

FORWARDS

Jaromir Jagr, FLA
Jagr, 45, scored 46 points (16 goals, 30 assists) in 82 games for the Florida Panthers last season. His 1,914 points are second in NHL history behind Wayne Gretzky (2,857), and Jagr is the NHL all-time leader in game-winning goals (135).
He was voted one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players presented by Molson and has played for eight NHL teams over 23 seasons. The two-time Stanley Cup champion can be a reliable top-six forward and power-play specialist despite his age. He reportedly has been skating with Kladno at home in the Czech Republic.
Thomas Vanek, FLA
Vanek quietly was one of the most productive players in the NHL when healthy last season. The 33-year-old had 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists) in 68 games with the Panthers and Detroit Red Wings. He was fifth in the NHL in 5-on-5 points per 60 minutes (2.61; minimum 750 minutes played) last season, according to stats.hockeyanalysis.com.
Vanek, who played his first eight NHL seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, has played for six teams over the past four seasons. He has 697 points (333 goals, 364 assists) in 885 NHL games and has a 14.3 shooting percentage in his career, second-highest among active players with at least 2,000 shots behind Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins (14.7).

Jarome Iginla, LAK
Iginla, who turns 40 on July 1, had 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 80 games with the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche last season. He played his first 16 NHL seasons with the Calgary Flames and is their all-time leader in goals (525), points (1,095) and games (1,219).
Iginla has never won the Stanley Cup but helped the Flames to the Stanley Cup Final in 2004. He is tied for 15th in NHL history in goals (625) and is 34th in points (1,300). Prior to last season, he had scored more than 20 goals in 16 consecutive full NHL seasons.

Shane Doan, ARI
Doan, 40, had 27 points (six goals, 21 assists) for the Arizona Coyotes last season. One season after scoring 28 goals on 170 shots (16.5 percent), Doan had six goals on 144 shots (4.2). He spent his entire NHL career with the Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets franchise and holds its records for most goals (402), assists (570), points (972) and games (1,540).
Doan, who has never won the Stanley Cup, will not be signed by the Coyotes and hasn't ruled out retiring from the NHL. If Doan does return, expect him to either join a Stanley Cup contender or stay in the Western Conference.
Drew Stafford, BOS
Stafford, 31, had 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in 58 games between the Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets last season. He had eight points in 18 games after he was traded to the Bruins on March 1.
Selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the first round (No. 13) of the 2004 NHL Draft, Stafford has 400 points (183 goals, 217 assists) in 725 regular-season games with the Bruins, Jets and Sabres.

He was traded from the Maple Leafs to the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 22, 2016, and played in the 2016 Stanley Cup Final, but signed a one-year contract with Toronto last July 2.
Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the sixth round (No. 180) of the 2004 NHL Draft, Polak spent eight seasons with the Blues from 2006-14 and has 115 points (23 goals, 92 assists) and a minus-13 rating in 634 regular-season NHL games, and two assists and a minus-15 rating in 51 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
