The Anaheim Ducks held Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, complete with Special Ops rappelling from the ceiling of the Honda Center and camouflage warmup jerseys, but it was a special guest on four legs that stole the show.

Corporal Nero, a Military Police Patrol/Explosive Detector Dog, was in charge of the honorary puck drop between Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and Flames captain Mark Giordano.

U.S. Special Forces command members were welcomed on the ice by Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli and Lance Corporal Brandon C. Benningfield escorted Corporal Nero on to the ice.
After a perfect puck drop, Corporal Nero and the Special Forces members were given a rousing round of applause from fans in attendance.
